FireFox

Nothing is more frustrating than being in the middle of something online and the damn site, and your whole damn puter, freezes up. Can’t shut anything down, can’t close any windows, nothing. The only way to unstick it is to do the whole CTL ALT DEL thing. GRRRR

And this was happening A LOT !!! I can take an occasional stall. Maybe waiting for a big graphic to load or something. But this was starting to piss me off.

Of course, my first thought was that I caught some damn virus or worm. So I did all the cleaning stuff I do. I ran everything ! It was no better.

Now what? I went to my trusty answer man, Google. I typed in “IE7 keeps freezing up” . I got a couple of so-called solutions. I tried them. Still no better.

Then I came across an article about IE and Firefox. Seems this problem only exists with IE. Hmmmm. Interesting. Tho, not surprising.

Now the idea of switching browsers is not something that I really wanted to fiddle with. I had my shit all set up in IE, my settings the way I liked em, Links, Favorites, etc.

But I went for it. I figured if I don’t like it I go back.

And guess what?

I haven’t had a freeze-up in 2 days !!

What’s your thoughts? Is IE really that bad and I’m just figurin’ this out now?

Personally I have always used firefox and love it. I would probably not change if something major did not happen.
